Welcome to the Bohemian -Inspired Jewelry BIG BLOG EVENT!!
I’m so glad you were able to stop by for a visit!

I am SO LOVING this book!! You should see my copy, I have little post-its with notes sticking out of quite a few pages for later reference. The book is just so well put together, such a look book of inspiration. MAJOR EYE CANDY!!!!
I was so inspired by the book that I even ended up combining techniques, this is what I was inspired to create from two lovely designs:
the knotting technique in Lorelei’s “Quietude”:

and the clever seed bead clasp in Lorelei’s “Witch Hazel”

Here is what I was inspired to create:

"Wrapped with Blues" Bracelet ingredients are:
Rustic ceramic discs are from Chelle V2 http://www.etsy.com/shop/ChelleV2
Rustic flat discs that are stacked are from Kylie Parry http://www.etsy.com/shop/kylieparry
Waxed Cord is from Mary Hubbard http://www.etsy.com/shop/WhiteCloverKiln
glass fire polished rondelles are from Arte Bella Surplus http://www.etsy.com/shop/ArteBellaSurplus
The second design that I created is
“Colors Make Me Happy” which was inspired by a variety of techniques described in the book:

"Colors Make Me Happy" ingredients are:
lampwork spacer beads by HMB Studios http://www.etsy.com/shop/hmbstudios
ceramic focal and waxed linen cord by Mary Hubbard http://www.etsy.com/shop/WhiteCloverKiln
I’m so thrilled to be among the 30 jewelry artists participating in the BIG EVENT and would like to say “CONGRATULATIONS” to Erin Siegel and Lorelei Eurto on the release of their beautiful book!!

Love that top bracelet with the earthy discs and blue cording! Also, those clusters of coral seed beads. They’re scrumptious.
Hi Sally!
Love how you combined two of the techniques into your designs, that was a great way to make the pieces uniquely you! Glad you had time to make a few things for the event! Thank you for participating. I hope the book inspires you to keep creating with these fibers, you do a great job with it!
Lovely work!
Gorgeous bracelets; earthy and bold! Love the color combination and knotting with the seed beads in the Color Makes Me Happy bracelet.
It is such an amazing book. I am delighted to be on the blog hop with you! There is so much there for experimentation and translation. I will be using this a lot. My copy already has the spine broken and I too have scads of post it notes sticking out!
Enjoy the day.
Erin
Oh WOW – I love the colors in both bracelets Sally! I am dying to try clustering some seed beads like that. Great idea.
I love what you made – super cute and perfect for summer!
Sally,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and inspirations! I’m really loving the ‘Colors Make Me Happy’ bracelet. So unique and inspiring! Thank you so much for participating and showing your support. It is appreciated!
Nice! I especially liked your Wrapped with Blues bracelet – the combination of the blue cord & the rustic ceramic disks is really fun.
I’ve done a wee bit of Bohemian wrap sorts of things, this makes me think I may need to do a bit more here this summer…. We shall see.
Sally – beautiful as always! I just picked up Erin and Lorelei’s book and can’t wait to try out some of the patterns! Stop by my blog, I have a surprise for you this week
Love!!! The ones you made have your distinctive stamp on them even thought you used someone elses technique I can see you in them!
